About

Emily Murdock, founder of The Practical Porcupine – a leadership development and training company – has been a whitewater raft guide for 12 years and has been certified in CPR every two years since 1994. She has worked professionally in the outdoor industry for 10 years and has traveled to remote locations such as the Grand Canyon, Sea of Cortez, western Brazil and southern Chile.

She has formal training and facilitation skill in group process. As an experiential-learning trainer and volunteer diversity education facilitator, Emily has conducted hundreds of trainings. She is skilled in creating an inclusive learning environment.

Emily is affiliated with Life Force, an AHA Training Center.
